STRENGTHENING THE ORGANIZATION
We could not operate without the dedication, energy and passion of our many volunteers; their contributions are a fundamental part of the Arts Council’s success.
Our volunteers are invited to Festival training sessions and wrap-up meetings as we value their feedback and input to make our events the best possible. We appreciate the leadership roles our committee chairs provide. Over 5 600 hours were donated by over 140 volunteers in 2009
A thank you reception for all volunteers was held at the Festival Celebration Concert and all received complimentary tickets to the concert.

Banting Volunteer Day
Banting Memorial High School held its first Volunteer Day in November 2009. Organizations were invited to come and share information about volunteer opportunities for grades 10 & 11 students who were looking for community service Hours. Megan Newcombe and Robin Brown met a wonderful group of students, many of whom volunteered for the SSAC throughout the year, and as a result added several community hours to their portfolios. All students from all high schools are invited to volunteer.
If you would like to volunteer please contact the SSAC office and we will help you join a committee. Your assistance is appreciated.
